brunch for twelve was a good time
i made just the right amount and got it ready just in time
and just the right tasty treats
no pictures though i was embarrassed to take pictures in front of russell's family
i was trying to make it look effortless and i thought whipping the camera out might seem too self congratulatory

the menu!
-garlic scrambled eggs
-thai chili black beans
-cheese grits
-roasted whole new potatoes with caramelized onions and mushrooms
-romesco sauce to go on everything
-buttermilk drop biscuits with honey, cherry preserves, apricot jam
-red grapes with honey ginger lime sauce and spiced pecans

russell's mom and girlfriend brought local favorite popsicles for dessert
girlfriend's kids and granddaughter came too so it was a nice mix to shift around between
i didn't even hide in the bathroom once
i unloaded a couple of bags of vintage on his niece and then we ladies went vintage shopping
russell and nephew played music together
everyone washed my dishes for me

then we had sushi tired date night and grocery shopped
mini (mini!) mint milanos for him, dinosaur tracks ben and jerry's for me
i found my new favorite ice cream!
vanilla with chocolate cookies, fudge and chips
did orange or mint milanos come first?
